At first appearance, the Bayliner 3587 Motor Yacht appears to be a relatively straightforward 35-foot aft-cabin design with little to differentiate her from other small motor yachts. Looks can be deceiving-the 3587 provides three staterooms where her competitors offered only two. The third stateroom is located beneath the (elevated) dinette, and while it's not really a full-size cabin, there is a roomy double berth and partial standing headroom along with a privacy door and a large hanging locker. To accomplish this innovative floorplan, Bayliner engineers moved the galley up into the salon and employed a rather awkward combination of three doors forward leading to the two staterooms and the head. If the salon dimensions seem limited, the owner's aft cabin is surprisingly comfortable and includes a walkaround double berth, vanity, and a private head with separate stall shower. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, standard lower helm, teak interior trim, generator, and swim platform.
