Very popular model and layout. Located on lake Erie in Freshwater.
The all-time best-selling boat in her class, the Bayliner 3288 Motor Yacht was introduced back in 1981 as the 3270 Explorer. She became the Bayliner 3270 Motor Yacht in 1985 and evolved into the 3288 Motor Yacht in 1989.
First marketed (in an era of escalating fuel prices) as an efficient family cruiser, the original flybridge was updated and a radar arch became standard in 1985.
The midcabin floorplan of the 3270/3288 remained essentially unchanged over the years aside from minor cosmetic updates.
A lower helm was standard, the salon is very spacious with big wraparound cabin windows, and the private aft cabin extends beneath the elevated dinette in the salon. The cockpit is fitted with teak handrails, and the side decks are wide enough for easy access to the bow. The 3288's lightweight hull results in an extremely fuel-efficient package

Good Performance: Equipped with twin engines, this motoryacht provides a responsive and reliable performance. It’s capable of cruising at a comfortable speed, making it great for both short trips and extended outings.
Versatile Design: The design includes a mid-cabin with a private V-berth and a convertible dinette, allowing for flexibility in sleeping arrangements. This makes it suitable for families or groups.
Affordable Entry-Level Yacht: The 3288 is often considered an affordable option for first-time yacht buyers looking for a reliable vessel with decent features without breaking the bank.
Great Storage: With multiple lockers and compartments throughout the boat, storage is well-thought-out, making it easy to stow away gear and supplies for longer trips.
Comfortable Amenities: The yacht comes with a full galley, a head with a separate shower, and comfortable seating areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for all on board.
Cons
Age-Related Wear: Being a 1990 model, some boats may show signs of aging. Owners should be mindful of the maintenance history and may need to invest in updates or repairs.
Limited Speed: While it performs well at cruising speed, the Bayliner 3288 is not designed for high-speed travel, which might be a consideration for those looking for speed on the water.
Fuel Efficiency: Twin engines can lead to higher fuel consumption compared to single-engine models, so operating costs should be calculated accordingly.
Not as High-End: While it offers good features for the price, the overall build quality and finish may not compare to more premium brands, which could be a factor for some buyers.
Steep Learning Curve: For novice boaters, handling a twin-engine vessel like the 3288 can require a bit of practice and learning, especially during docking maneuvers.
