However, even though the Aloha 28 is not a race designed boat, it has a long water line that exceeds many equivalent sized cruising boats making it quick and no slouch with a theoretical hull speed of 6.63 knots.
The Aloha 28 also has a smaller draft, at 4.33 ft, than many boats in its class and has a strong and durable skeg hung rudder that reduces the chance of damage if an unfortunate grounding were to occur.
