This Alden-designed ketch, custom built and completed in 1976, is in excellent condition overall and certainly does not look her age. Her present owner has maintained the vessel in splendid condition and made dozens of expensive upgrades and modifications during the years. The last major upgrade was in 1998. She is unusually strong and heavy (27 tons), carries 470 gallons of fuel for a range under power of approximately 2,000 miles, and carries 440 gallons of water plus a 600-gallon-per-day water maker. With her remarkable storage, she can go to remote areas for extended periods of time, as nine months for two people. Her shallow draft of 5-feet allows for exploration of shallow bays and rivers. In fact, as her designer and builders intended, she can go just about anywhere. The present owners have lived aboard for 14 years, sailed the vessel over 35,000 miles, as far as southern Brazil, and had planned to transit the Panama Canal and complete a circumnavigation. However, medical problems now require them to sell this one of a kind world voyager. Offers encouraged!
