Walkthrough

Boarding Moonglow, her side decks provide convenient movement around the vessel and access to the main cabin. The flybridge offers excellent visibility from the upper helm and is protected by a full enclosure.

Entering the main salon, large windows provide abundant natural light and good visibility. An L-shaped settee creates a comfortable gathering area, while the lower helm provides a fully protected second operating station. Engine-room access is conveniently located from the salon.

Moving forward and down is Moonglow's galley, providing a dedicated food-preparation area while keeping the main salon open and uncluttered. A countertop area between the galley and salon provides additional space for dining, serving, or food preparation.

Continuing forward is the guest accommodation, featuring a traditional V-berth. The forward head is conveniently located to starboard, creating a separate guest space away from the owner's stateroom.

Moving aft from the salon leads to the master stateroom, one of Moonglow's standout features. The master offers a centerline queen berth, large hanging closet, generous storage, and abundant natural light from opening windows and ports. The aft head is conveniently located adjacent to the master and features an electric marine head and brass sink.

Outside, Moonglow offers good brightwork, an enclosed flybridge, windlass, Magma grill, Taylor Made fenders, and other storage.

With her galley-down arrangement, separate forward guest accommodations and head, spacious salon, and private aft centerline-queen master, Moonglow provides an excellent layout for a cruising couple while offering comfortable accommodations for guests.

Review

Albin 43 Trawler

A popular model for many years, the Albin 43 is a solid, well-built boat with distinctive lines, an attractive teak interior, and the full walkaround decks common to a trunk-cabin trawler design. The Albin is heavily built on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with a deep forefoot, hard aft chines, and a long prop-protecting keel. Boasting a wide 14'6" beam, a two-stateroom interior was standard in the Albin 43 and several three-stateroom layouts were optional. Entering the salon from port or starboard sliding doors, a convertible L-shaped sofa with folding table is starboard in the salon and a wet bar is located in the aft port corner. Large windows provide good visibility from the lower helm and the bench seat at the helm has storage under. The galley is down in the two-stateroom configuration, up in the three-stateroom layout. There are V-berths in the forward stateroom and a walkaround queen berth in the aft stateroom. Teak parquet flooring is found throughout the interior. A single diesel was standard, but most Albin 43s were delivered with twin 120/135hp Lehman diesels (8 knots cruise/11 knots top). Cruising range is an impressive 650–700 miles.

Additional notes (BoatUS)

Overview: Traditional Taiwan trawler targets buyers looking for salty styling, practical floorplan, low-cost operation.@Features: Two-stateroom teak interior includes full lower helm, parquet flooring, twin salon deck doors, tub/shower in aft head. Note wide side decks, teak handrails, teak window frames, simulated lapstrake hull lines. Keel protects prop, running gear. Three-stateroom interior was optional.@Comments: Salon lacks access door to sundeck.@Performance: Lehman 135hp diesels cruise at 8–9 knots; 210hp Cummins cruise at 12–14 knots.
