BROKER'S COMMENTS:
When one thinks of recreational trawlers, Albin is near the top of the list for quality, strength and ability to keep the crew safe while having wonderful accommodations for family and guests aboard. "Shambhala" has had only 3 owners, each taking excellent care of the vessel with constant maintenance and upgrades. Having spent its entire life in FRESH WATER ONLY, it doesn't have the inherent issues that some salt water vessels encounter such as corrosion, rust and smell! There are exquisite wood carvings below which give the vessel's owners one of craftsmanship from a bygone era with quality and attention to details. The present owners have done a beautiful job of continuing the upgrades including but, not limited to: new canvas, windows and screens both on the fly bridge but, on the lower cabin as well. New interior fabric and foam cushions above and below decks with a modern touch! New Granite countertops in the galley and added array of electronics are only a few of the list of new additions. The teak bright work and decks are in excellent condition with no leaks below. A 2012 SAMS survey reported "Above Average" condition! The few recommended items have been addressed. If a trawler is on your list of a next vessel, "Shambhala" is a must see! Don't let the age scare you; this is trawler sure to not disappoint you! Offered at only $64,900, a replacement is over $450,000, it's hard to beat the value! "Shambhala" is available for co-brokerage and is located in lovely Wilson, NY on the south shore of Lake Ontario, just 30 miles north of Buffalo.
Teak decks in excellent shape, teak bright-work all Varnished and in excellent shape as well.
Owners are looking for a smaller, trailer type boat and are moving away from the area. "Shambhala" is a trawler worthy of consideration if a well found, turnkey fresh water vessel is on your radar!
