Layout

The lounge is a totally “living” area, in which 4 different environments can be fully lived. Entering on the right you can find a sofa, suitable for 6 persons, and the table that can be extended: by adding some chairs, several people can comfortably have dinner. On the left, the kitchen, a shiny lacquered “dove-color “open space” with a wide working place made of Corian with marble nuances. This area is provided with a large fridge of good 258 litres, of which 42 litres are dedicated to the freezer, while plates, glasses, cups and cutlery are housed in special drawers and furniture, giving the feeling of order and practicable to the kitchen.

A pyroceram hob and a microwave oven are also present, while the shipowner can choose whether to install the optional dishwasher. Moving towards bow, on the right, you can find the distinctive and ergonomic Absolute steering position: anything from the instruments to the technological materials is designed to offer safe and effective steering of the boat. All is combined with an armchair dedicated to the pilot and copilot, that enriches the steering position, also in combination with the wide side French door for easy access directly to the side passage, similar to the Absolute 72 FLY, units of the higher category. Bow on the left side of the lounge you can seat on a comfortable sofa to spend relaxing evenings or to share the emotion of sailing.

Overview

The Absolute 62 Fly is a well-crafted yacht featuring an open layout designed to comfortably accommodate large groups. Its expansive side windows flood both the upper and lower decks with natural light, while the generous headroom enhances the perception of spaciousness, making the yacht feel larger than its actual size.

Exterior Design and Deck Areas

Boarding options include a 20-inch wide side gate and a hydraulically actuated swim platform measuring 6 feet 7 inches deep, with 5 feet 11 inches of that depth lowering into the water for easy access. The platform incorporates a recessed reboarding ladder and a convenient rail stored within the transom door. Stairs deploy to the aft deck when the platform is lowered. A distinctive design feature includes reflective transom windows that provide privacy for the crew space. The aft deck on the starboard side hosts a large sun pad behind an L-shaped settee that extends around to the port side, complemented by a solid wood table on stainless steel pedestals and a drop-down shade for sun protection. The foredeck offers a spacious, single-level area free of steps, featuring a 7 feet 5 inches wide forward-facing bench with storage and pop-up lighting, a fusion stereo system, and a 6 feet 6 inches square sun pad with cushions that can be adjusted into four different chaise lounge positions. The flybridge includes a U-shaped settee with a high-gloss table, a 7 by 11 foot open deck with chaise lounges, and a forward outdoor galley equipped with a sink, electric grill, ice maker, and refrigerator. Additional seating includes a 5-foot wide forward-facing bench and a sun pad with flip-up panel filler cushions to create an extended lounge area. The flybridge is protected by a hardtop 6 feet 10 inches above the deck, supported by molded arch supports and stainless steel stanchions, and features a large electrically opening soft top sunroof. Reflective glass doors 6 feet 3 inches high open to a 3 feet 6 inches wide passage, allowing seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces.

Interior Living Spaces

The yacht’s interior is characterized by an open layout with large surrounding windows that enhance the sense of space. The galley, located on the port side, features a full-size refrigerator freezer, laminated cabinetry, a four-burner cooktop, a single basin stainless steel sink with a pull-out sprayer, ample counter space, a convection microwave, and additional storage. Opposite the galley is a U-shaped settee with a gloss-finished table that slides for easy access. The salon, elevated by four inches and forward of the galley, maintains nearly the same ceiling height at 6 feet 7 inches. It includes a wraparound sofa under expansive side windows, an opening side window, and opposing seating with a two-person loveseat. A TV on an electric lift is integrated discreetly behind cabinetry, operated by an intuitive switch. Throughout the interior, attention to detail is evident in the use of mirrored mullions, gloss-finished zebra wood accents, and a harmonious blend of dark and light tones that create a soft, inviting atmosphere.

Private Accommodations

The lower deck houses three cabins and three heads, with a full-beam master suite centrally located. Accessed via a stairway featuring natural wood steps and zebra wood accents, the master cabin includes hull-side windows on both sides, a 78 by 69 inch centerline berth with a leather upholstered headboard, and wide side tables with raised edges and stainless steel fiddles. Headroom measures 6 feet 8 inches, with slightly reduced clearance over the berth. To starboard, a two-person loveseat sits between zebra wood cabinets beneath large side windows with a distinctive forward-tilted surround that enhances aesthetics and views. This sofa can be replaced with an optional walk-in closet featuring a full-length mirrored door. The suite also includes a 42-inch TV, a gloss-finished zebra wood desk with a built-in vanity and soft-close mirrored lid, and ample storage with soft-close drawers. The en suite head features dual storage cabinets flanking a vanity mirror, a vessel sink atop a Corian countertop with backsplash, and concealed hull-side windows revealed by a switch. The shower is enclosed with a Corian surround, includes an opening port for ventilation, a privacy shade, and a built-in seat. A pocket door optimizes space usage. The VIP cabin is located forward and features an angled berth measuring 77 by 58 inches, allowing easier access on both sides with minimal step height. It includes hull-side windows with opening ports, a vanity desk under a large mirror, a 27-inch TV on an electric lift, abundant storage, and a large hanging locker with a mirrored door. The VIP’s en suite head mirrors the master’s layout but with the shower positioned aft. Adjacent to the VIP is the day head, which includes a separate shower and similar amenities. The guest stateroom offers two berths with large hull-side windows and opening ports; an optional electric mechanism allows the berths to slide together to form a larger single bed. Storage includes a large hanging locker with a full-length mirror, and the stateroom shares access to the day head.

Conclusion

The Absolute 62 Fly demonstrates exceptional build quality, evident in its precise joinery and elegant lines. Its open and inviting layout, combined with thoughtful design details and spacious accommodations, make it well-suited for entertaining and comfortable cruising. The yacht’s exterior and interior spaces are harmoniously integrated, providing both style and functionality. While this review focuses on features and layout, the vessel also offers a pleasurable driving experience, detailed in a separate evaluation.
