Designed by Phil Rhodes and built by the renowned Abeking and Rasmussen yard in Germany. ARION is the 9th of 9 built to design #633. Her keel centerboard configuration offers excellent upwind performance and the ability to gunk hole in shallower waters.
ARION has been owned by the same family for 40 years. She has been well-maintained and updated, including a 1991 Perkins 4108 with 1400 hours. In 2002 her bottom was refastened and replanked. Her Doyle sails are in excellent condition. She has roller furling for the genoa, oversize self-tailing Lewmar winches, and a Robertson autopilot for short-handed sailing.
