This Glenn Henderson-designed Hunter 306 was built in Alachua, Florida, and combines value, performance, and comfortable accommodations. Hunter Marine originally focused on meeting the intersection of good build quality and an attractive price for customers, selling as many as 2,000 sailboats in a year at the peak of its production. MEGGAR is powered by an 18 hp 2005 Yanmar 2GM20F-YEU with 2295 hours, a mast roller reefing system on the Mainsail, and furling Genoa. She is B&R rigged and set up to easily sail single-handedly. The cockpit has a table, shower, and a Bimini. She is equipped with a VHF, compass, Raymarine ST Speed/Depth (2023), Garmin GPS/AIS Radar, Wind/Speed Direction, Autopilot, plotter, AM/FM/MP3, and speakers.
Belowdecks the laminate cabin sole with teak trim is a beautiful backdrop for a generous settee with plenty of headroom, newer cushions, a dinette that converts to double berth, and a dedicated nav station starboard. The modern L-shaped Galley has Corian® counters, a Force 10 2 burner propane range, a deep stainless steel sink, a Coolmatic fridge, a microwave, and plenty of storage. There is a full-size enclosed head with a shower and vanity with a sink. Back on deck she has a walk thru transom with swim platform and telescoping swim ladder. This is an amazingly spacious layout for the 30 ft boat, perfect to provide easy, enjoyable coastal sailing for a couple or small family.
