This 2011 Chaparral 216 SSi Wide Tech has spent its life in dry-stack storage, and it shows. From the shine on the black hull sides to the upholstery, cockpit, hardware, and remarkably clean MerCruiser drive, this boat presents extremely well for its age.
Powered by the MerCruiser 4.3 MPI with 220 HP and only 357 hours, the 216 is a great combination of manageable size, good performance, and reasonable operating costs. Chaparral's Wide Tech design carries the beam forward to create a noticeably larger bow than you'd expect from a 21'6" boat. Add the roomy cockpit and integrated swim platform, and this is a very usable family boat without moving into a substantially larger package.
The interior is another highlight. The upholstery remains in very nice condition with Chaparral's upscale two-tone treatment. Dual captain's chairs with flip-up bolsters, a large wraparound aft lounge, spacious bow seating with filler cushions, snap-in cockpit carpeting, walk-through windshield, plentiful cupholders, and storage throughout make excellent use of the available space.
