Island Gypsy was born from a partnership between two legends of boatbuilding: Lars Halvorsen, of the renowned Australian Halvorsen family, and Joseph Kong, a talented builder who had previously served as Production Manager for Grand Banks. Their goal was simple but ambitious: to create a line of high-quality, affordable motor yachts for long-range cruising.
Island Gypsy models were instantly recognizable, blending traditional trawler styling with the fine joinery and seaworthiness that the Halvorsen name had come to represent.
This boat is in excellent condition and is ready to go cruising today. It has been well maintained and is very clean from the fly bridge all the way down to the bilge!
