Cons
Size and Maneuverability: While 48 feet is a manageable size for many, some may find it challenging to handle in tight marina spaces or narrow channels, especially for less experienced boaters.
Speed Limitations: The semi-displacement design means it doesn't have a high cruising speed compared to planing hulls. Those looking for faster travel may find this boat lacking in speed.
Maintenance Requirements: As with any trawler, maintaining the Krogen 48 can demand a fair amount of effort and investment, particularly with its traditional systems and mechanical components.
Draft: With a relatively deep draft, some may find it impractical for shallow cruising areas, requiring caution in navigating rivers and coastal waters.
Older Technology: Being a 1999 model, some onboard systems may not incorporate the latest technology or efficiency improvements found in newer models, which could mean upgrades may be necessary.
