The Catalina 42 MKI started production in 1989 with 479 hulls built . Then in 1995 the MkII rolled out on the line with hull # 480 and completed their production of a total of 1022 Catalina 42 built. The MkII had several upgrades from engine size, a wider modern transom with wider swim platform and additional storage compartments, and additional interior layout changes.
"C'est La Vie" is a rare, sought out Catalina 42 MKII with 2 Stateroom and fwd Centerline layout. The owner's stateroom is forward featuring a centerline queen pedistal berth, flanked by settees port and starboard. Storage is plentiful with two hanging lockers and five drawers under the berth. Pivate access to the fwd head from the stateroom. Moving aft to a spacious and inviting salon with a large "C" shape dinette to port. With a salon table that lowers down to convert to a double berth. Adjacent to starboard is the Nav Station with a swing out chair and a "love seat for 2". Port of the companionway is a large "L" galley with a hugh panty. To starboard is a "wet head" with access from salon and also private access to starboard aft inline double berth stateroom.
