Loki - 1996 Nordic Tug 32
OVERVIEW
Loki - 1996 Nordic Tug 32 - Rare Flybridge Helm | Proven Cummins Diesel Power
Classic Tug Styling • Legendary Efficiency • Exceptional Cruising Capability
One of the most popular boats of her type ever built, the Nordic 32 with her classic tugboat profile is well-respected and has endeared her to yachting enthusiasts for many years.
The long-standing popularity of the Nordic Tug with fastidious boaters is a testament to the Architect Lynn Senour's design. Combining timeless tugboat styling, outstanding seaworthiness, and economical diesel performance, the Nordic Tug 32 has earned a loyal following among serious cruisers from the Great Loop to the Pacific Northwest. Loki features a full-keeled, semi-displacement hull, efficient cruising characteristics, plumb bow, rounded stern, with very comfortable accommodations for extended adventures.
A standout feature of Loki is the rare "Chariot Style" factory flybridge with second helm station, providing excellent visibility for docking, sightseeing, and fair-weather cruising. Few Nordic Tug 32s were equipped with this desirable option, making this vessel especially appealing for owner-operators who appreciate multiple operating stations.
Powered by the dependable 220 HP Cummins 6BT 5.9M diesel, this vessel delivers the reliability, fuel economy, and simplicity that have made the Cummins 5.9 one of the most sought-after marine diesel engines ever produced. She is an efficient and economical cruiser at 7 knts and reportedly burning just 1.7 GPH, yet she has the power to comfortably cruise 11-12 knts., and can top out over 15 knts.
Loki has been under the current ownership for the past 12 years, spending most of her time in freshwater and covered slips.
Entering from the cockpit, a pair of teak hinged doors, combined with overhead operable hatch, provide easy access down three steps into the spacious salon, or a port side located ladder provides access to the flybridge and upper helm station. On her interior, the salon features a well-equipped L-shaped galley to port with adjacent bench seat. To starboard is a large L-shaped settee and an adjustable pedestal teak table. The settee is convertible to allow sleeping accommodation for guests. The cabin has plenty of storage, teak and holly flooring and soft teak wood finishes throughout.
From the salon, two steps up lead to the pilothouse with two opposing sliding teak doors for easy foredeck access. Controls include, electronic shift/throttle control, bow thruster, autopilot, 12" Garmin Chartplotter/GPS/Radar, VHF, full instrumentation and more.
Down from the pilot house is the stateroom with double berth, lots of storage and head with stall shower and electric head.
Loki is offered with a 2023 Stryker RIB LUX 330 10' tender with Tohatsu 30HP outboard, and electric davit system.
Whether you're looking to cruise the coastline, the California Delta, or simply enjoy life aboard a vessel with undeniable character, time tested design and construction, this Nordic Tug 32 offers a unique opportunity to own one of the most iconic cruising vessels ever built.
