Hylas has a reputation for producing sturdy, fast, and comfortable performance cruisers which have shuttled their owners many millions of miles through blue water around the globe. With a center cockpit for comfort, vision and a dry ride. Equipped with modernized deck hardware, and ergonomic layouts of all sail handling systems, they are particular appropriate for the shorthanded cruising couple.
This example will not disappoint. Constantly maintained and upgraded by her knowledgeable owner, with the help of Birch marine Services.... she shows like a much newer boat and is completely turnkey for the couple who is looking to jump on board and go!
The 46 has headroom throughout to accommodate 6'plus even in the pass thru to aftr cabin. As well as exceptionally bright interior thanks to the overhead fixed ports.
Walkthrough of the interior layout;
The master stateroom aft with an ensuite head and separate shower boasts a walk-around queen berth, and an immense amount of storage in the multiple cabinets and drawers.
The forward stateroom, which shares a head with the salon, has a large V-berth that fills in to form a double, and the third stateroom, midship to starboard, has two single bunks with yet another small ensuite head. On Matriesa, these bunks have been converted to workspace/storage space, however, could easily be swapped back to accommodate mattresses if desired. The L-shaped galley runs down the walk-through alley under the center cockpit to port, with twin sinks close enough to the centerline to drain on either tack. The saloon has a dinette to port and a settee, plus a pilot berth to starboard. Real teak is used throughout, with impressive workmanship and quality evident in all joinery.
