The Bristol 41.1 is a Ted Hood design that marked an important evolution for Bristol Yachts. Introduced in 1981, it moved away from the traditional full-keel cruisers of the 1960s toward a more versatile, performance-oriented hull with a centerboard - offering both shallow-water access and capable bluewater stability.
Built in Bristol, Rhode Island to high standards, the 41.1 earned a reputation as a gentleman's cruiser. It features heavy hand-laid fiberglass construction, substantial structural bulkheads, and interior joinery finished to a level often associated with more expensive builds.
Endless Summer is a well-maintained example, lightly used by her second owner and currently located in Mamaroneck, New York. A major refit was completed in 2000 at Ted Hood's Little Harbor yard including an addition of Hood's Stowaway mast system. The comfortable center-cockpit layout offers timeless lines and sleeping accommodations for up to six, with two private cabins, a salon, two heads, and reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning throughout.
The interior of Bristol 41.1 “Endless Summer” is a showcase of traditional New England craftsmanship, dominated by satin-finished teak and a layout designed for long-term cruising. This 2-cabin / 2-head layout provides excellent privacy and comfort whether you’re cruising as a couple or with family and friends.
Make your way down the companionway into the bright, open and airy salon with a generous 6'4" headroom and heavy-duty ceiling-lined ports which welcome warm natural light, complementing the teak joinery. Salon settees line both port and starboard with a folding teak table that hugs the port settee for easy interior dining.
Continuing forward, a full electric head with a shower is located to port, with access from the salon as well as from the forward cabin. Just beyond lies the forward cabin with a comfortable sleeping berth with ample storage compartments.
Reversing back into the salon, a dedicated navigation station is tucked underneath the companionway hatch to port — perfect for plotting your next course. Glance back to the starboard, you’ll find the thoughtfully designed walk-through galley, connecting the private aft master stateroom, (a highlight of this celebrated center cockpit layout) to the salon. This spacious aft cabin features a large double berth and its own private freshwater electric head with shower.
Sleeping capacity: The boat offers 2 cabins which can accommodate up to 4 guests as well as two additional berths in the saloon, for a total of up to six sleeping guests.
