Knot On Duty is a beautiful American Tug 34. This is just the way you want to find an AT-34; they were great boats coming out of the factory in La Conner, WA, and are best if preserved by a careful owner.
Equipped with the Cummins 6BTA5.9 370-hp 6-cylinder diesel, she will cruise all day while just sipping fuel at 7.3 knots, or you can utilize the semi-displacement planing hull and take her up to about 17 knots if needed to avoid adverse current or cross the Straits in style. A range of 1600 miles will make extended cruising easy.
She has a Garmin electronics suite, including an upgraded Reactor 40 autopilot that integrates with the chartplotters. Side Power bow thruster, Magnum Energy inverter/charger, Onan generator, Espar diesel heat, Reverso oil change system, dual Racor fuel filtration, automatic fire extinguisher, AGM battery bank, a Victron smart battery monitor, Blue Seas electrical panels, and a solar charging system with a Victron MPPT solar controller. She has all the good gear.

This is a very nice and low-hour American Tug 34, the perfect cruising boat for Puget Sound, Canada, and Alaska. Come see her at the Tyee Marina in Tacoma, WA.
As you enter the salon from the cockpit, the first impression is of an open & airy space with large windows and plenty of headroom. There are four opening windows with screens and three fixed windows in the salon. The galley is on starboard and the settee on port. Knot On Duty has a blond teak wood interior and neutral Ultraleather upholstery and factory-installed replacement carpeting.
The convertible settee is on port, which makes it into a near queen-size berth. The custom folding table is on a hi-low air spring base. There is a hanging locker in the aft corner.
The staircase to the pilothouse is quite open as the funnel is integral with the deck, and there are no bulkheads separating the salon & pilothouse. Knot On Duty is fitted with an Espar diesel heating system.

Primary Stateroom
The stateroom is very large. The centerline queen berth has a quality mattress. There are four large full-suspension drawers under the berth. His & Hers storage compartments line the port & starboard hull sides. There is a very large cedar-lined hanging locker on starboard and an additional set of shelves on port. Reading lights are on both sides of the berth. Private access is provided to the head.

Head
American Tug 34's have a full-size head & shower, the best in class. The head has a Vacu-Flush system, a large shower (36" square) with a glass door, and a Granicoat counter. There is a ventilation porthole in the shower for great ventilation.

American Tugs pride themselves on high-quality system installations. They have a robust DC electrical system. There is a 630 AH house bank of AGM batteries and additional AGM batteries for the engine (4D AGM) and genset (Group 24 AGM). The circuit breakers are all by Blue Seas.
The AC system is also set up properly with an Onan Lights diesel genset, Magnum Energy inverter/battery charger is connected to the batteries using a battery combiner relay. Shore power is controlled by a Blue Seas breaker panel.
