The first-generation (1991-2001) Viking 58Convertible enjoyed one the of longest production runs in Viking history.
The Viking 58 is an updated version of the Viking 57 Convertible (1989-90) with a sharper entry, additional bow flare, and a slightly redesigned transom. For the passionate angler, the 58's unrivaled speed and range made her the ultimate performance convertible. For the family that travels to far-off places, luxurious accommodations made her a prestigious cruising yacht. The hull retains the same wide 18-foot beam as her predecessor which accounts for the spacious interior and cockpit dimensions. Viking employed several three-stateroom galley-up layouts in the 58C during her decade-long production run, each with an amidships owner's suite and three full heads with separate stall showers. The sprawling 168 square-foot cockpit includes a transom door, an in-deck fish box, a molded tackle center, and direct engine room access. Updates in 1997 models included restyled frameless windows and a new extended flybridge. One of Vikings most successful models, 110 of these first-generation 58Cs were built. MAN 1,200hp diesels cruise around 27-28 knots & low 30's WOT.
Entering from the cockpit and through the salon entry door, you will find a very spacious and updated salon that features recently installed custom synthetic teak flooring, high gloss teak woodwork and cabinetry, custom wood blinds, as well as plenty of comfortable seating for family & guest. Plenty of natural lighting is provided by port & starboard side windows. To port is a large L-shaped settee (abundant storage under), a storage ottoman, built-in end table with drawer storage, (2) built-in bar stools and a dining counter. To starboard is wet bar and Viking electrical panels hidden by high gloss teak cabinets and a solid surface countertop. Moving forward to starboard is another L-shaped settee with a high gloss teak dining table. Above the dinette is a recently installed Smart TV. Across to port is the spacious U-shaped galley area that's open to the salon.
Moving forward & down the companionway, to starboard is the guest stateroom and head that doubles as the day head with separate door. Just forward and amid ship to port is the master state room with private ensuite head and shower.
Continuing forward in the companionway, to the starboard is a washer/dryer cabinet with full-sized washer and dryer. Directly to port is a linen closet with ample storage for towels and sheets. Finally, all the way forward is the VIP stateroom with queen berth and en-suite private head and shower.
