The Bayliner 3988 represents one of the biggest bangs for the buck in the industry. Their layouts sport a roomy and uncluttered cockpit, expansive salon with a comfortable dinette and up galley, and 2 staterooms with their own heads. The master head includes a very usable tub/shower.
Ours has twin Hino diesel motors with 250hp and 1875 hours. She has an 8kw Westerbeke generator, 50 and 30 amp service, factory-installed reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning, Vacuflush toilets with a SanX waste treatment system, a GPS Chartplotter for both helms, and an Xantrex 2500-watt inverter to power you through.
There's an AB RIB dinghy with 15hp Mercury outboard, a Broward Davit for launching and retrieval, a hardtop extension, and a lot more that make this particular boat a huge value over the competition.
Please call today to line up a showing of this well-equipped 3988.
Entering the transom door on the starboard side to the cockpit, you have a choice of taking the comfortable ladder up to the flybridge, accessing the engine compartment with a large opening door, or entering the salon. The cockpit is very large and uncluttered with plenty of room for entertaining, fishing, or relaxing. The hardtop over the cockpit gives a great feeling of shelter and protection. There is a screen enclosure for the cockpit area too.
When you enter the expansive salon, you are greeted with beautiful wood work, newly upholstered seating surfaces, and a fantastic layout. There is an up-galley with a great view, an L-shaped lounge, and a roomy dinette across from the galley. The lounge has a nice view of the 26" flat panel TV and includes the original hi-low coffee table for flexible seating, eating, and entertaining. The boat boasts heating and air conditioning throughout.
Past the salon and galley and to starboard you find the lower helm. The visibility from this vantage point is so good that you will find yourself piloting from here often. The electronics are duplicated for both helms and include color GPS, depth, and VHF radio.
Taking the centerline companionway down a few steps gives you the option to enter the guest stateroom to port that has a large queen sized bed, nice storage closet, and room for changing. Going forward, you can enter the guest head that has access from the companionway or the guest stateroom. The head includes a Vacuflush toilet and a wet shower. Moving forward brings you to the master stateroom with a large, centerline queen berth, tons of storage in drawers and closets, and it's own master head. The master head has a roomy vanity area, Vacuflush toilet, and a shower/tub that is big enough to actually use.
