Tradewind
Tradewind was launched in 1937 for the Royce family who managed the Hotel Del Coronado in the 1930's. She was originally named Tradewind and was renamed Tradewind in 1995 by the current owner. She has had a long list of well known owners over the years with a rich winning race history. She has always been one of the fastest PC in the fleet.
Tradewind has undergone extensive restoration over the recent years. Her hull was epoxied inside and out with WES System, fiberglass rope was used for extra strength between the planks (much better than being splined which in most applications can cause separation and leak), planks were refastened, bottom and topsides were farred and painted with Sterling LP, decks beams were replaced and decks were replaced, new cabin top with full varnished mahogany, new cockpit, new interior wood, and restored mast and boom.
Norths sail inventory, newer rigging, and new 2024 full cover.
Outboard Bracket.
Berthed at the San Diego Yacht Club on PC row.
Must see to appreciated. Over $100k invested. Wonderful Daysailer!
