Current owner has owned Radio Flyer the boat for the last 24 years. The boat is set up for shorthanded distance sailing. Radio Flyer has completed 15 Huron Doublehanded Challenges, a Trans Erie Doublehanded race and a Trans Superior Rave doublehanded in 2017. Radio Flyer has been fitted with a 6 inch lead shoe to the bottom of her keel. This counters the tendency of the 29 to be tender. The draft is 6 feet with the shoe.

Radio Flyer is very well equipped with VC 17 racing bottom paint. She is tiller steered. The lines lead back to the cockpit through clutches to winches, adjustable jib car leads, oversized main traveler, Harken rolling furler, VHF with masthead antenna, Garmin 740 chart plotter GPS, AIS receiver and transmitter, autopilot, and sea swing for cooking. A steel cradle goes with the boat but is located in Detroit.
