Forward of the mast is the guest cabin which features a V-berth with an enclosed head with shower to starboard and a changing locker to port with storage outboard of the V-berth.
The aft cabin is accessible from the deck or the main salon area and it features an athwartship double berth, an enclosed head with shower to port and hanging locker to starboard; a very comfortable and dry live-aboard layout.

Pros
Solid Build Quality: The Brewer 45 Ketch is renowned for its sturdy, hand-laid fiberglass hull and quality craftsmanship, making it a durable and seaworthy vessel.
Spacious Interior: With a generous 45-foot length, the boat offers ample living space, including multiple cabins, a large saloon, and well-equipped galley, ideal for extended cruising.
Ketch Rig Versatility: The ketch sail plan provides excellent sail balance and flexibility, allowing easier handling with a smaller crew and better sail options in varying wind conditions.
Good Load Carrying Capacity: Designed for bluewater cruising, it can comfortably carry provisions, gear, and supplies for long passages.
Classic Aesthetic: Its traditional design and teak wood finish appeal to those who appreciate classic yacht styling.
Cons
Older Design: Being a vessel from 1978, some design elements and onboard systems may feel dated compared to modern yachts, potentially requiring upgrades or modernization.
Heavier Displacement: The solid build contributes to a heavier displacement, which can result in slower speeds, especially in light wind conditions.
Maintenance Requirements: Older boats like the Brewer 45 may need ongoing maintenance, including potential updates to rigging, sails, engine, and electronics.
Ketch Rig Complexity: While versatile, the ketch rig involves more sails and rigging, which can increase maintenance and handling complexity for some sailors.
Limited Performance: Prioritizing comfort and seaworthiness over speed, it may not satisfy those looking for a high-performance sailing yacht.
