Come check out the 1938 auto ferry converted to a live aboard residence. This historic vessel started out life transporting cars across the Columbia River at The Dalles. She also helped develop Herron Island in the south sound working as their auto ferry from 1960 to 1989. She was converted to a liveaboard by the current owners and continues to be maintained as a fully functioning ferry, she just carries a house on her back now.
Annabelle has approximately 2,350 square feet of interior space and about 2,520 square feet of deck space. She has 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath and 2 half baths, a large 14 x 35 foot main saloon housing the living room and dining room with space left over for a dance floor! Cooks love her chef's kitchen with 6 burner gas stove, commercial oversize refrigerator with matching commercial oversize freezer and pantry. The large captain's cabin has a walk-in closet and many windows so you can enjoy all of the fantastic water views of Puget Sound. The rear deck has a hot tub for enjoying those views while relaxing on and in the water!
Annabelle is great for travelling Puget Sound with 2 working Cummins diesel engines, 2 working propellers and rudders for excellent maneuverability. She handles well with only 2 people as the current owners can attest. They have made many trips to the San Juans, into Lake Washington and all around Puget Sound and Hood Canal. She can anchor anywhere with her 500 pound Danforth anchor and hydraulic winch set up. Desalinator, generator and inverter system allow for the full comforts of home even when anchored. Plenty of storage space and deck space allow a wide array of usages so bring along all of your water toys. 72 feet long and 40 feet wide at the main deck. Recent haul out and marine survey attest to her seaworthiness and sound construction that is well maintained. This one of a kind true ferry boat and true home in one vessel is a unique and charming lifestyle for a live aboard. Don't let the chance of a lifetime pass you by!
