Monte Carlo, Monaco — 23 September 2026 · world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Among the largest sailing superyachts on the quay: a 62-metre (203-foot) hybrid ketch that sails at 16 knots and motors silently at eight.
Among the largest sailing yachts on the quay
ARES Yachts confirms that Simena, its 62-metre flagship ketch, appears at the Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September. Her arrival places her among the largest sailing superyachts on display and among the most significant new launches of 2026 at the show. ARES says she ranks among the 25 longest sailing superyachts in the world.
Fifty-nine metres of mainmast
The ketch rig carries a 59-metre (194-foot) mainmast and a 48-metre (157-foot) mizzen, with a 470 square metre (5,059 sq ft) mainsail, a 249 square metre (2,680 sq ft) mizzen, a 596 square metre (6,415 sq ft) genoa and a 356 square metre (3,832 sq ft) staysail. On sea trials she reached 16 knots in 20 knots of wind at a 100-degree wind angle.

Silent to eight knots
A 220 kW electric motor manoeuvres her near-silently to 8 knots with a 6,000-mile range, and a MAN diesel takes her to 14 knots, or 4,000 miles at 9. She is built on a steel hull with a carbon composite superstructure, fully to RINA class.
Four stars from the Yacht Club de Monaco
Simena holds a four-star 'superior' SEA Index rating, the certification developed by the Yacht Club de Monaco and UBS Group and verified by Lloyd's Register. Six cabins take up to 12 guests, led by a forward owner's suite. On deck a cockpit seats 14 for dining, alongside a fold-out six-square-metre (65 sq ft) swim platform and a sunken flybridge.
Named for a place you can only reach by sea
ARES takes her name from the ancient Lycian settlement on the coast near Antalya.
Six ways to drive her
The parallel hybrid system pairs one 882 kW MAN diesel with a 220 kW Ramme electric motor, three 86 kW CAT generators and a Servogear controllable-pitch propeller, in six modes. Lloyd's Register assessed her at four stars on the SEA Index, a certified 138.5 gCO2 per gross ton-hour.
Twelve guests, nine crew
The owner's suite runs full beam, forward on the main deck. Guests take three doubles and a twin, each with its own bathroom. The aft cockpit is the social end of the boat.
