The Sport version of Windelo's 16.24-metre catamaran, with carbon daggerboards and rudders, a taller carbon rig and a hybrid-electric driveline.
A sharper hull and longer daggerboards
Windelo gives the Sport versions a longer waterline and more pronounced inverted bows, up to 17 degrees. The daggerboards were reshaped and extended by 65 cm for lift, and the balanced rudders lengthened for helm feel.
A racing rig
Carbon mast sections extended by a metre, with Kevlar rigging, cut nearly 15 per cent of the weight in the upper sections while increasing sail area. The aluminium forward beam and traditional bowsprit give way to a carbon cross beam, 30 cm longer, adding up to 20 per cent more downwind sail area.

Sails from offshore racing
Windelo chose 3D membrane sails using materials derived from offshore racing. The self-tacking solent gives way to traditional sheets, allowing an optional removable forestay and staysail.
It makes its own electricity
The platform runs hybrid-electric propulsion and generates its own energy at sea, which Windelo says lets you sail far and long, quietly. A 53.8 kWh battery bank is charged by solar, hydrogeneration and a wind turbine.
