Three cabin layouts, four to eight berths
NYX offers the 42C with three cabin layouts, sleeping between four and eight people in double cabins. The yard's claim for the arrangement is that there is somewhere quiet aboard whether four are sailing or twelve.
A helm set up to be sailed single-handed
Every control line, sheet and running rigging is brought to the helm station and kept reachable there. The self-tacking Solent jib is on a 2-to-1 sheet with a roller furler, which is the other half of sailing the boat alone.

A 56-square-metre mainsail, or 60 with the square top
The standard mainsail measures 56 square metres in NYX's specification table. An optional square-top mainsail is offered for more drive in light to moderate winds and easier handling when reefing.
A hull drawn by award-winning designers
NYX credits the hull to award-winning yacht designers and points at the curves and detailing as the evidence. The boat is offered across design categories A to D, with crew numbers of 12, 15, 20 or 25 to match.
