Cannes, France — 8 September 2026 · world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
A 12.3-metre (41 ft 3 in) open dayboat drawn around the Japanese idea of Yūgen, with a convertible bow, a cockpit that becomes a lounge and a cabin below.
Yūgen, and a boat drawn around it
Beneteau draws on over 140 years of boatbuilding and the Japanese principle of Yūgen for the Gran Turismo 40 Open. Naval architecture is by Michael Peters Yacht Design, with exteriors by Andreani Design.
A bow that becomes a sunpad
At the bow a wraparound U-shaped seating area converts into a secluded sunpad on an electric pedestal table. Aft, the cockpit can take an electric table leg and sunpad infill to become a second lounging space.

Kanso below
The interior follows the Japanese Kanso philosophy, where simplicity, comfort and versatility make a calm atmosphere. The forward living area converts from dinette to a transverse double berth, with an aft cabin behind it and lined privacy curtains in both.
