One of four Azimut world premieres at Cannes
Azimut gave the Fly 70 its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. It was one of four, alongside the Seadeck 9, the Magellano 27M and the Grande 44M, in what the yard called its largest showing at the festival.
Mancini outside, Fantolino inside
The exterior is by Alberto Mancini and the interior by Fabio Fantolino, the pair who had already worked together on the Fly 62, 72 and 82. Mancini sums up his own brief as a boat sculpted by nature and shaped by water.
A cockpit that becomes a terrace, and dinner for eight
The cockpit extends into what Azimut calls a terrace over the sea, shaded, with a dining table for eight. The boat shown at Cannes was the Terrace Cockpit version, which uses a transparent aft parapet and a stern-facing layout.
Carbon in the superstructure, and a fifth less fuel
Azimut uses carbon fibre to take up to 30 per cent out of the superstructure's weight, which it spends on interior volume and stability rather than on total weight. The yard claims fuel consumption at least 20 per cent below the market average for a boat of the same size and weight with a conventional hull and shafts.
