PowerBoat Guide notes that the Sea Ray 48 Sedan Bridge is "a handsome flybridge yacht with best-in-class styling that also gets high marks for deluxe accommodations and top quality construction. The posh three stateroom interior with stunning Birdseye Maple joinery also features a raised salon dinette with panoramic outside views, large master stateroom and two full heads vwith stall showers. Note spacious flybridge with excellent helm position."
The Sedan Bridge line was a huge hit for Sea Ray and well over a thousand of the big ones were launched over the years; Sea Ray quit building them after about 2015 so it's getting harder and harder to find a clean one.
Which is why Eclipse such a find: she's a professionally maintained, fully loaded example that spent most of her life in a covered fresh water berth and it SHOWS--she cost almost a million bucks new and still shows that way today! She's also very competitively priced, and the only 480 (and one of only a handful of ANY of the Sedan Bridge models) currently for sale anywhere on the west coast.
Note very low time on the machinery (less than 800 hours on twin Detroit Diesel 6V-92s, with about the same on the 10kW Westerbeke genset and all machinery serviced in late 2025), optional factory installed bow thruster, full suite of Raytheon electronics (including color chartplotter, radar, and autopilot), a 2006 11' 6 RIB (that looks like it's never been used) on hydraulic swim platform, a fully enclosed flybridge with factory hardtop and a hull that's been buffed and waxed regularly, not to mention a tastefully furnished interior with settees (that appear to never have been sat on!) and beautiful granite custom tabletops, much more.
Again, Eclipse shows bristol inside and out and really must be seen to be appreciated.
Also note she's lying in a potentially transferable downtown Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip; there's a LONG wait to get into the marina here so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage...
From carpeted cockpit either up eight molded-in steps to fully enclosed carpeted flybridge with factory hardtop, a wet bar, and built in seating forward of the helm, or step thru sliding tinted glass door with polished stainless steel frame into spacious, open, salon with L shaped settee (that converts with the push of a button into a double berth) and raised dinette with panoramic views port side, entertainment center and galley starboard.
Continue forward down four steps to accommodations area with VIP stateroom with queen berth and private entrance to full head with shower port side, this head is shared by the guest stateroom with twin berth across to port.
Far forward is master stateroom with raised queen berth centerline, private en suite head with stall shower, both the master and VIP staterooms have cedar lined closets.
Note interior shows as new with the Birdseye Maple joinery in particular stunning, central heat/air and vacuum systems, windshield and all the hatches resealed, 6' 4 headroom throughout most of the interior.
Corian countertop with molded-in sink and hot/cold pressure water with new Isotherm 20 gal. hot water heater, Kenyon three burner cooktop, Toshiba microwave oven built in, under counter separate refrigerator and freezer, flybridge wet bar with new U Line ice maker. VacuFlush toilets in both heads.
110V AC / 12V DC. Fifty amp shore power service and 12 kW Westerbeke genset in sound shield, Xantrex 3000 watt inverter, all new batteries in 2021.
Raytheon Nav398 GPS color chartplotter, Raymarine R41 XX radar, Raytheon Raypilot 650 autopilot, Ray Marine ST-60 depth/speed/log, 6" Ritchie magnetic compass. LG flat screen TV, Clarion CMD5 AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo.
