Among these was the all-new Tierra 48LS, a vessel designed specifically to be powered by three of Mercury's 600 horsepower outboards. The Tierra 48LS was developed through a year and a half partnership between Mercury and Tierra founder Leon Slickers, aiming to meet demands for speed, fuel economy, and ease of operation. The boat serves as a guest-friendly day boat with comfortable seating, a three-person helm deck that can be fully enclosed, and two staterooms below for extended cruising.
Exterior Design and Deck Layout
The Tierra 48LS measures 48 feet 4 inches in length overall with a beam of 14 feet 2 inches and a dry weight of 25,000 pounds. It carries 660 gallons of fuel. The deck plan is asymmetrical forward of midships, featuring a deep, secure side deck to starboard and a raised deck to port that provides additional interior space and facilitates docking or rafting.
