The Nevins 40 (Sparkman & Stephens design #1068) is a modification of the famous S&S yawl Finisterre, winner of 3 Newport to Bermuda races in succession. The beamy centerboard yawl was extremely influential as a winning racer while offering unprecedented space for cruising, shoal draft for gunkholing, and sea-keeping ability for long distance passage-making.
FANTASY, built in 1958, is the 11th of the Nevins 40 series. She is professionally maintained at the highest yacht standard, exceptionally well equipped, and in excellent condition throughout. She remains in regular service, racing and cruising throughout New England.
During the winter of 2024/25 FANTASY was taken to Gannon & Benjamin on Martha's Vineyard for replacement of the forefoot timber, frame ends, floor timbers, and mast step. That this huge job was undertaken with the boat seriously for sale is a great testament to the current owner's ongoing commitment to FANTASY's care and maintenance.

-New aluminum fuel tank (2024)
