CLEAR DAY has the desirable three-cabin, pullman berth layout with head forward, a double pullman berth next aft, and two private double cabins all the way aft. She has two heads. She has had only two owners, her current owners, a retired senior airline pilot and his wife, having owned her since 2006. CLEAR DAY has had good care, as one might expect from an airline pilot. She is for sale due to the owners' advancing age. She's just been hauled for the winter. CLEAR DAY shows well. A marine survey, done in 2023, noted that the boat is in above average condition. The survey is available on request.

The Catalina 42 has earned an international reputation as the leader in her class. By leading in design, cruising performance, and comfort, the Catalina 42 has become the first choice of sailors worldwide. The hull of the 42 MkII is high volume, and easily driven, with a fine entry, firm midship section, and smooth run aft terminating in a modified reverse transom with an uncommonly spacious and functional boarding platform.
