JP Skov

Jean-Pierre Skov was born and raised in St. Croix, U.S.V.I. He grew up in the marine industry, starting with his Dad’s charter company and boat yard on the East end of the Island. In the mid 70’s his family made the decision that the kids should be educated in the Northeast. At that point he was off to Massachusetts for school. Every vacation he was on a plane back to the waters of the Caribbean. On his breaks from school he would work as a charter Captain sailing day trips to Buck Island National Park off, the North coast of St. Croix.

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts he moved back to St. Croix permanently. Once again sailing as a charter captain and also competitively for the V.I. Olympic team. In 1991 Jean-Pierre went to work for Hess Oil in the marine department as a deck hand on a tug and later the same year became Captain of a 105’ ship handling/ocean-towing tug.

He would marry his college girl friend, Janet, in 1993. Their first of three children, Justin, was born in 1994. At that time they made the decision to move back up North. The family continued to grow with the arrival of Jessica in 1996 and James in 1999.

In 1995 he took the position of Waterfront manager for Marina Bay in North Quincy, MA. Once the new management system was in place his next project was to develop a new boat dealership and brokerage. At this point, Jean-Pierre migrated to being a full-time yacht broker. His knowledge of the industry and yachts in general made this transition the perfect fit. He prides himself in developing his client relationships into friendships. His clients know that he is always only a phone call away to answer any questions, whether it is about thier next yacht or the next piece of gear for the current boat.

Jean-Pierre can be found doing what he does best, putting his clients in the right yacht.

Craig Nann

Craig Nann, born in Metuchen, NJ spent his summers growing up on his family’s powerboat.  Craig found his niche in the sailboat world early in his teens while spending his summers with his family at a resort in Lake George, NY.  He quickly became respected for his instinctive talent for sailing and was hired there for several summers to work as a member of their waterfront program.

While studying marine affairs at the University of Rhode Island, Craig joined the perennially ranked URI sailing team where he was a member of the 1996 Offshore National Championship team,  was team captain from ’96-’97 and served as the head sailing instructor for three years.  He began to crew on larger sailboats in the Newport area when he was subsequently hired to maintain and coordinate the racing programs for several sailboats.  This launched his career not only as a professional sailor but also as a yacht broker.  Craig has been a broker for 13 years in both New England and Florida and has a wide range of contacts throughout the marine industry.  He has been employed in sales, management, and service in addition to becoming a licensed insurance producer specializing in personal yacht insurance.

Craig has enjoyed living in Newport, RI for many years with his wife and three dogs.  They enjoy sailing their J24 as well as their membership in the New York Yacht Club.  His boating knowledge has brought him invitations ranging from several offshore power and sailboat deliveries to National and International Regattas and the 2001 America’s Cup Jubilee in Cowes, England.

Craig follows in his grandfather’s footsteps in sales with a simple philosophy:  build long lasting trustworthy relationships with your customers and assist them in fulfilling their needs.  It is not about buying or selling the boat but finding the “right” boat for each client and then assisting with every detail throughout the process.  He looks forward to assisting you.
