Oz is a proven cruising/live aboard vessel with numerous upgrades. Her current owners have cruised on her up to six months a year (stored on hard and covered the rest of the year), for the last 13 years and maintained her in excellent condition. The two previous owners sailed Oz for 20 years on the Great Lakes during the summers and stored on land for the off season. Previous to 2002, she was a fresh water boat used only for 4-5 months a year.
The Gulfstar 44, designed by Lazzarra, has a long fin/modified full keel with a skeg hung rudder. She is a cutter rig with roller furling Genoa and Main sails. She has all the features a serious sailor wants for long distance cruising, but she can be a showpiece for anyone who wants to live on her in a Marina. This vessel has a great design for coastal cruising, blue water sailing or simply spending a year or more in the Caribbean. She has enough displacement to make her comfortable in a good blow, yet a large enough sail plan to crank off the miles on those long passages.
This is a beautifully maintained example of a very comfortable cruising yacht that can be easily sailed by a couple and conveniently sleeps six.
We encourage you to read the full specifications to see what an outstanding cruiser the Gulfstar 44 is and then call us to arrange a showing.
