The Westerly 26 CENTAUR = Westerly's most successful model and, in anything close to this size range, the most popular British production sailboat ever. It's thought that all are bilge/twin keelers
This boat was built in England for the North Sea- strong and dry and rigged for single-handed sailing. Per the boat's owner, "I've had her at 8.5kts in a 25kt nor-easter in the Gulf of Mexico w/ reefed main and working jib at 4-5' - seas on the beam - and we did just fine!
She has cruised the Ohio River system, Tennessee River, Tombigbee waterway, Florida and the Keys, Atlantic coast, ICW, NC Outerbanks, Chesapeake Bay, New England, Cape Cod, Hudson River, Erie Canal, Lake Ontario, St Lawrence River, 1000 Islands, Trent-Severn Canal, Georgian Bay, North Channel in Lake Huron, Lake Erie, AND she's trailer-able."
