1990 Viking 38 COMPASS PATH
The Viking 38 Convertible was the smallest model in the Viking fleet during the 1990s. She was an expensive boat with the same finish and attention to detail seen in Viking's larger yachts. The 38 was built on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides, a solid fiberglass bottom, and better than 14 feet of beam-wide indeed for a boat this size. Below deck, the expansive interior of the Viking 38, with its rich teak paneling and upscale fabrics, is arranged with a forward stateroom, double entry head, dinette and convenient mid-level galley. In this arrangement, the salon dimensions seem huge for a 38-footer. The cockpit has over 100 square feet of space and comes with an in-deck fish boxes, transom door, and molded tackle centers. Topside, the spacious flybridge can seat a small crowd protected by a hardtop and full enclosure curtains. Additional features include a bow pulpit, a well-finished engine room, and an Onan genset. Detroit Diesel 6-71's provide propulsion. The Viking 38 Convertible will reportedly cruise at 22 knots and reach 25 knots wide open.
