3800 Open
2 Engines (Cummins, Cummins)
38 feet
Diesel
Fiberglass/Reinforced
Extremely well outfitted and maintained 38 Open. Powered by recently serviced 490 hp Cummins QSC8.3's that provide a mid 20 kt cruise. The helm is lined with new Garmin electronics, stereo system, underwater lights, helm air, amongst many other features. This is easily the nicest 38 on the market.
A huge U-Shaped settee to starboard, opposite the galley, dominates her elegant single-stateroom interior. There's a separate stall shower in the head, and the beautiful teak-and-holly cabin sole gives the interior of the 3800 a traditional feel found in few other boats. The entire helm deck lifts mechanically for easy access to the large engine room. Additional features include a hideaway TV in the salon, a cockpit wet bar, transom door and shower, NEW swim platform, side exhausts and wide side decks. Pop pockets reduce the shaft angles and draft. Cummins 490 hp diesels cruise the Tiara 3800 at 25-26 knots (about 30 knots top).
