STAGE 4 is a tough seaworthy and well equipped center cockpit sloop that recently arrived in California from the East Coast via the Panama Canal.
STAGE 4 has a new Navigation Electronics Package, Updated Galley Appliances, Nice Quantum Sails, an Electric Halyard Winch, a low hours 6 kW Northern Lights Generator, a 800 Watt Solar Array, Wind Generator, and Starlink for internet access and streaming Netflix.
Her spacious interior is bright and pleasant with a three stateroom two head layout. On deck there is no teak to worry about. Her ground tackle is oversized with a 55 lbs Rocna primary anchor and a 44 lbs CQR for back up.
STAGE 4 features the desirable centerboard option. The heavy ballasted centerboard significantly enhances sailing performance and stability with a draft of 10 feet. The centerboard is easily retracted with a 12 volt electric winch, reducing the draft to 5 feet 4 inches.
The yacht has no teak decks except in the cockpit! She also features three private staterooms, which is great for the owner who plans to have company.
If you are looking for a tough Bluewater cruising yacht STAGE 4 is the one for you!
The seller is very motivated to move this boat on to the next adventurer!

Pros
Sturdy Construction: Built with a full keel and heavy displacement, the Tayana 55 offers excellent stability and seaworthiness, making it ideal for long offshore passages.
Spacious Interior: The boat features generous living spaces with multiple cabins, a large salon, and a well-equipped galley, providing comfortable accommodations for extended cruising.

Strong Rigging: The cutter rig offers versatility and ease of sail management, especially in varying wind conditions.
Good Storage: Ample storage space for gear and provisions supports long-term voyaging.
Cons
Heavy Displacement: While contributing to comfort and safety, the boat's weight can result in slower speeds compared to lighter, more modern designs.
Maintenance Intensive: The extensive use of teak and traditional materials may require regular upkeep to maintain appearance and integrity.
Older Systems: Depending on the boat's refit history, some onboard systems (electrical, plumbing, navigation) may be outdated and in need of upgrading.
Limited Maneuverability: The full keel design, while offering stability, can reduce agility in tight marinas or crowded anchorages.
