This Mermaid ketch is a classic bluewater sailing ketch that handles well in weather.

If you are looking for a great coastal cruiser or to take on a charter crew to explore coastal waters, you have found the right vessel.

This 1982 CT 42 Mermaid, custom-built by Ta Chaio Shipbuilding Co., is a great cruiser, a fantastic live-aboard, and begging to head offshore for bluewater exploration.

She is a Ketch rigged center cockpit sailing vessel with a Perkins engine. Engine hours unknown. The seller reports the engine is in good operating condition.

She is functional above and below deck with two staterooms and one head, a large open salon with a high cabin and lots of windows for panoramic views above deck.

Great for coastal sailing for family outings or for living aboard with comfortable accommodations.

Condition detail
Three stainless steel fuel tanks for long-distance. Barlow manual winches. Rigging appeared in good visual condition from deck to eye height at the time of the visit. The owner reports bottom paint was applied in 2022; in good condition and has diver clean regularly. Full-keel hull and rudder. Interior is clean with no odors observed at time of visit. Deck is clean; plenty of life with teak deck and observed in good condition Sails observed as "crisp" and no sun damage. The seller reports sails to be 2023.
