Boarding the 2001 Symbol 62 Pilothouse Yacht “DANZA” begins at the spacious aft cockpit, a functional and comfortable area designed for both relaxation and easy access to onboard systems. The cockpit features molded non-skid decking, covered walkaround side decks, and a convenient portside cabinet with sink and storage. A transom shower and swim ladder provide easy access to the water, while the large cockpit hatch opens to a generous lazarette with access to the heavy-duty stainless steel steering gear and additional storage. From here, a built-in teak staircase leads up to the flybridge while also providing concealed access to the engine room.
Entering through the polished stainless steel sliding salon door, you are welcomed into a bright and inviting main salon finished in satin cherry wood cabinetry with elegant louvered cabinet doors and large panoramic windows that fill the space with natural light. A comfortable 10-foot L-shaped sofa upholstered in aqua fabric sits to starboard, paired with a versatile electric hi-lo coffee table that expands for dining or entertaining. Along the port side, custom cabinetry houses the entertainment center, a lighted crystal cabinet, and a liquor locker. Forward to starboard is a cleverly concealed computer workstation, with a wine fridge and beverage refrigerator nearby for convenient entertaining. Plush off-white carpeting runs throughout the living area, complementing the warm cherry wood interior.
Moving forward and up three steps brings you into the raised pilothouse. The pilothouse features a centerline helm station with excellent visibility, surrounded by modern navigation electronics and comfortable seating for extended passages. An L-shaped settee to port offers a perfect space for guests to relax while underway. Just aft and to starboard is the well-equipped U-shaped galley, thoughtfully positioned to serve both the pilothouse and salon. The galley features Sub-Zero refrigeration, Kenyon ceramic cooktop, convection microwave, KitchenAid oven, and generous storage, along with Corian countertops and Grohe fixtures. Watertight wing doors on both sides of the pilothouse provide quick access to the covered walkaround decks, while a staircase to port leads to the flybridge.
Descending the stairway from the pilothouse brings you to the private owner’s quarters. Located aft for maximum privacy and comfort, the full-beam master stateroom features a queen-size island berth with built-in storage drawers and lift-up access beneath. The stateroom is finished in rich cherry wood cabinetry with cedar-lined hanging lockers and mirrored closet doors, offering abundant storage for extended cruising. Large opening portlights provide natural light and ventilation, while a hidden escape hatch is discreetly integrated into the aft bulkhead. The en-suite head to starboard includes a spacious stall shower, Corian countertops, and Grohe fixtures.
Moving forward from the master stateroom, a lower foyer area provides access to the guest accommodations and includes a new full-size washer and dryer. To port is a cozy guest stateroom with twin side-by-side berths, perfect for family or visiting guests. The cabin features cedar-lined storage and opening portlights, maintaining the same quality finishes found throughout the yacht.
Continuing forward you arrive at the VIP stateroom, located in the bow. This bright and comfortable cabin features a centerline queen berth with storage beneath, generous cabinetry, and overhead lighting. The VIP and guest staterooms share a spacious dual-access head with stall shower, finished with Corian countertops and Grohe fixtures.
Accessed directly from the pilothouse wing doors, the covered walkaround side decks allow safe and easy movement forward. Stainless steel railings and molded non-skid decking provide security underfoot while moving around the vessel. The foredeck offers dual storage lockers and a heavy-duty anchor pulpit, along with custom Sunbrella-covered sun lounges with adjustable backrests and cup holders, creating a comfortable space to relax while at anchor or enjoying the view underway.
Ascending the teak staircase from the cockpit or pilothouse leads to the spacious flybridge, an ideal vantage point for cruising and entertaining. The bridge features twin Stidd helm chairs and a well-equipped helm station with excellent sightlines. A comfortable L-shaped settee with table provides seating for guests, while a wet bar and grill located aft to starboard make outdoor entertaining effortless. The flybridge is protected by a fixed-frame soft top with lighting and enclosure, allowing comfortable use in a variety of weather conditions. From this elevated position, the captain enjoys outstanding visibility while navigating coastal waters or relaxing at anchor.
Designed by Jack Sarin and built by the respected Symbol yard in Taiwan, this well-appointed pilothouse motor yacht combines classic craftsmanship, spacious accommodations, and practical cruising systems.
