The Steiger 28 Fisherman is designed to offer a massive fishing platform in an extremely safe and seaworthy vessel. The Steiger 28 series features a 10 ft beam and a massive 80 sq. ft. cockpit. A 200 Gallon fuel capacity gives the 28 a "canyon ready" 400+ mile range, with a top speed of 54 MPH.
Fishing features include tackle storage throughout, a large in-deck fish locker (120 Gal), over-head rocket launchers, recessed gunnel weight draws and rod storage, as well as generous storage beneath the port-side couch. Two (100 Gallon) insulated fishwells are forward and aft for livebait and fish storage while tackle storage is found throughout the boat.
Combining a 22 degree deep with wide beam to length ratio delivers an exceptional rough water ride and excellent stability when anchored or drift fishing. The 28 Miami's hull is all hand laid fiberglass, built around an indestructible "I-Beam" grid system that offers durability and a ridged core that reduces flex even under the roughest conditions. The massive cabin provides protection from sun/rain, while the portside couch has seating for 4 and a huge captains chair for the operator. The 28 Miami features a roomy cabin with manual porcelain head, stainless sink, V-birth for two persons and 3 opening portholes for cross ventilation. The huge deck space also makes it ideal for entertaining guests to and from port.
