The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 1987 Sea Ray Pachanga 32 is a classic express cruiser that offers a blend of style, performance, and comfort. Here are some of the pros and cons to consider:

Pros

Stylish Design: The Pachanga 32 features sleek lines and a sporty profile, making it an attractive choice for boaters who appreciate classic 80s styling.

Spacious Cabin: For a 32-foot boat, it offers a surprisingly roomy interior with comfortable sleeping accommodations, a functional galley, and a private head.

Performance: Equipped with powerful twin engines, the Pachanga 32 delivers solid cruising speeds and responsive handling, suitable for both coastal cruising and day trips.

Versatile Layout: The boat’s layout is well thought out, with ample seating in the cockpit and a small swim platform at the stern, enhancing both socializing and water access.

Build Quality: Sea Ray is known for quality construction, and the Pachanga 32 benefits from durable materials and a solid fiberglass hull.

Cons

Fuel Efficiency: With its twin engines and sporty performance, fuel consumption can be higher compared to more modern or single-engine cruisers.

Aging Systems: Being a 1987 model, many onboard systems such as electrical, plumbing, and engine components may require upgrades or regular maintenance.

Limited Headroom: While spacious for its size, the cabin headroom can feel a bit restrictive for taller individuals.

Storage Space: Storage is adequate but somewhat limited, which can be a challenge for extended trips or liveaboard use.

Outdated Electronics: Navigation and onboard electronics may be outdated and likely need modernization to meet current standards.
