Sea Ray, a widely popular and well known name in the boating world, is a premier manufacturer of fiberglass recreational boats, specializing in sport boats, bowriders, and cruisers. Founded in 1959 and owned by Brunswick Corporation, they are known for luxurious, amenity-rich designs, modern technology, and a focus on the overall recreational boating experience, often serving as a premium, mid-market option. Sea Ray currently produces a wide range of boats, roughly 30+ models, but previous discontinued models, such as the 400 Express Cruiser, still holds a place in many boater's hearts as being one of Sea Ray's best builds!
The 400 Express Cruiser, produced roughly from 1991 to 1998, is highly regarded as a strong, classic model, often praised for its spacious two-stateroom layout, large cockpit for entertaining, and solid performance. Sometimes referred to as a "sport yacht," it is popular for coastal cruising, families, and is generally considered a great, stylish option for its era, and even into modern times. Featuring a solid fiberglass deep-V hull and powered by twin Merc 7.4L engines, she offers a stable, comfortable and reliable ride ever time!
"Sandancer" has been meticulously maintained since new. She is just a two owner vessel and has been commissioned in fresh water only for the past 35 years, between Lake Michigan and the St. Lawrence! Fully equipped with all the amenities for a day out on the water or a multi-day trip, there is plenty of room for entertaining as well as sleeping accommodations (up to 6 comfortably). The forward master stateroom offers privacy with a large, accessible pedestal queen berth, hanging locker and plenty of storage. The guest suite (mid cabin) offers bunk beds that can convert to a seating area, which also has its own privacy door. The Salon features a C-shaped settee that converts into a double berth, a moveable dinette table, and an entertainment system. You will also find a fully equipped galley including a 3-burner electric stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, sink, breakfast bar, and plenty of storage. Finally, the private head with Vac-U-Flush toilet and a separate enclosed shower stall round out the interior. Out on the cockpit and deck you will find a raised helm station with double helm seating, which provides excellent visibility. There is a large U-shaped seating area aft that can convert into a sun pad, a portside wet bar, ice maker and cooler. The molded swim platform with transom door allows for easy water access. Recent upgrades and improvements to Sandancer include reupholstered cabin cushions (2025), new hot water heater (2025), new forward AC unit (2024), reconditioned props (2024), new Goode windlass and anchor rode (2023), and more!
