The Sea Ray 230 Bow Rider was created to be customized in every respect to suit any family, starting with the cockpit seating arrangement. The standard plan includes swivel bucket helm seats with a flip-up thigh-rise bolster and rotocast seat shells for long life. Aft, there's a large circular seat that can be turned into a sunpad by inserting the matching filler cushions. There's also a cockpit table and an aft sunpad with gas-assisted lifts. Or, one of two optional seating plans can be chosen - the first has a swivel bucket helm seat, an adjustable back-to-back lounger seat to port, high-low aft jump seats, and a hinged motorbox with a convenient slide-out table. The second offers the same features except the swivel helm seat is replaced with a second back-to-back lounger. Kids and guests can also take advantage of the additional molded bow rider seating space, easily accessed by a walk-through door. Seating space isn't the only thing there's plenty of on the Sea Ray 230 Bow Rider. There are large storage areas throughout, including a secure lockable helm storage compartment, a ski and kneeboard storage area with mildew-resistant vinyl matting and gas-assisted lid, upper and lower cockpit side panel storage, and dedicated anchor and fender storage. The bow area is also kept clutter free thanks to additional storage beneath the bow rider seating and in the bow rider side panel. When it comes to standard equipment, Sea Ray has included several features such as a Clarion AM-FM digital cassette stereo with four waterproof speakers and a remote control at the helm. On the 230 Bow Rider there's an insulated ice chest built right into the dash, integral armrests, stainless steel hardware, and handsome wood accents on the tilt steering wheel and dash panels. And since the cockpit liner is fiberglass with a standard removable carpet liner, it's easy to keep the 230 Bow Rider spotless. Aft, access to the water is easy with a wide, integral swim platform with a three-rung stainless steel ladder that's kept neatly concealed for a cleaner look. For skiers, the stainless steel transom rail has an integral ski tow. The 230 Bow Rider offers better-than-ever technical systems, including an upgraded standard engine - the powerful 240 horsepower 5.0L EFI Alpha I MCM stern drive. Controls include power steering, power tilt and trim, audible engine alarms and easy-to-see Midnight Legend gauges with anti-glare coding and an LCD hourmeter built right into the tachometer. And finally, the Sea Ray 230 Bow Rider has a list of options that makes competitive models pale in comparison. But perhaps what makes the 230 Bow Rider such a tremendous family value is the quality Sea Ray builds into it. Note the wood-free integral fiberglass floor system, the durable hull with vinylester resin and pearl gelcoat, enhanced windshield trim, and even Sea Ray's Five-Axis Mill technology that allows an exact model to be created, developed, tested, and perfected before it ever goes into production. That means better performance and more reliability on the water.
