When I jumped aboard this Sea Fox 328 Commander, I realized that I might have literally been "missing the boat" all these years. From what I observed during my inspection, with a plethora of roomy fish boxes, twin livewells (55 gallon and 35 gallon in the transom cap), rod holders at every turn (13 in the standard hardtop, six in the transom cap, plus numerous gunwale-mount units), generous cockpit freeboard (27-inches aft and 30-inches amidships) and room at the dash for a pair of 16-inch MFDs (Garmin 8616XSV, with twin thru-hull Chirp transducers), this Carolina girl can fish.
But it was the plush comfort features like a triple wide drop-down aft bench seat, a trio of cushioned up/down bolster seats with adjustable armrests at the helm, seating for a quartet of crew in the bow and room to entertain a small village of folks that reminded me of what I've been missing all of these years.
The big bonus on the 328 Commander is a roomy head area with 81-inches of standing headroom; great access to all of your electronics, wiring, panels, pumps and valves; a freshwater sink and porcelain toilet with pumpout and holding tank; plus a twin sized bunk with storage space down under that measures 72-inches long by 42-inches wide by 15-inches high. This is a great place to get out of the sun, change outfits, take care of business when nature calls and/or catch a quick catnap in between fishing frenzies. And my take on all these features? The Sea Fox 328 Commander proves the point that it's possible to focus on hard core sport fishing, but do it in total comfort and luxury.
