The companionway hatch has a built in spray hood for foul weather protection. A foredeck anchor well simplifies the handling of ground tackle. Mast and Rigging

     "The Hall mast and boom are aluminium with a durable Awlgrip finish. Airfoil spreaders are standard. The internal main and genoa halyards are led to Lewmar #24 and #30 two speed winches, respectively. The boom is equipped with an internal clew outhaul,topping lift, plus two sets of jiffy reefing led aft to a Lewmar #24 winch on the cabin top. The genoa sheets are led to a blocks on either the standard 12' toerail tracks or standard 12' inboard genoa tracks and then to the Lewmar #48 self-tailing winches mounted on the teak coaming caps.      "Fresh water capacity is 94 gallons. All through-hull fittings below the waterline are protected by bronze seacock valves with handles.A diaphragm bilge pump is recessed into a cockpit wall.Hot and cold pressurized water is standard at the galley, vanity, and shower.      "The Westerbeke 33, four cylinder, fresh water cooled diesel engine with 2:1 reduction is standard. The Tachometer, engine hour meter, voltmeter, oil, fuel, and temperature gauges are recessed in the cockpit by the pedestal. The galley top and face remove for easy engine access. Cabin Accommodations

     "The Sabre 38 Classic layout has accommodations for six in two cabins, with standing headroom of 6'3". The forward cabin has a double 6'6" vee berth, large storage compartment, drawers, and lockers. The washroom has a marine head and a vanity sink, foot pump, and spacious lockers. A separate shower with hot and cold pressurized water is standard. Finished in white formica with teak trim, the washroom includes towel bar, mirror, soap dish, glass and toothbrush holder, and a teak grate on the sole. Opposite the washroom are wet and dry hanging lockers. The main cabin has berths port and starboard, plus a quarter berth, all with storage below. The port berth converts to a wide double berth. All berths are 6'6" long, with fabric covered 5" foam mattresses and bolster backs. Deep storage lockers are located behind the backrest cushions in the main cabin. The double leaf table folds up against a large magazine rack on the main bulkhead. Teak handrails and trim below the windows in the main cabin are standard." Sabre 38 Brochure
