2016 Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht

The salon is on the same level as the cockpit making for a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. Large picture windows frame the views. The door and rear window open to unite the salon and cockpit into a great room. A huge leather lounge can seat eight at a folding dining table and there is a flatscreen satellite television connected to a Bose Lifestyle system. Above, the sunroof opens at the press of a button. Or run the generator and the optional Tropical air-conditioning in the salon for total climate control with the door and windows open. 

The joinery is high-gloss cherrywood varnished on a special Italian machine, leading to no visible drips or runs, while the lighting is the latest low-amperage LED type. The windows have custom shades for privacy when needed. 

The three-cabin layout provides ample storage and the ability to spend extended weekends or weeks aboard. Watch TV or listen to your favorite music in the salon and all staterooms. A Spendide washer/dryer and Dirt-Devil central vacuum in the lower level hall closet keep things tidy.

The Master Stateroom is spacious and bright, featuring a walk-around queen-size bed with custom TemperPedic mattress. It has an ensuite head with a shower stall. Under-bed storage (easily accessible with help of gas struts), overhead cabinets and cedar-lined lockers accommodate everything you need for extended voyages.  

Located aft is the full beam VIP Stateroom with outstanding views from the large windows in the hull. Opening windows bring fresh air. Spacious, extremely comfortable and well laid-out with custom TemperPedic queen-sized mattress. A separate single berth also serves as a couch or day bed. Little touches like the cedar lining, built-in drawers and luxuriously lined under-bed storage show Riviera’s attention to detail in this design. 

The third cabin features over-under bunks and makes for additional storage if needed. The two guest staterooms share a head with a shower stall. 

One of the greatest pleasures is sitting in the dual helm chairs by Recaro. The helm chair is electrically adjustable, clad in the finest black leather. The console is ergonomically designed. The vast, curved windshield presents you with sensational views… It all adds up to a delightful sense of confidence, control and adventure. 

The 5000 Sport Yacht benefits from Riviera’s robotic varnishing facility, the most advanced in Australia: the gloss timberwork found both above and below deck has an utterly smooth, mirror-like finish.

It’s a very substantial galley, with everything from high-quality flooring and solid surface countertops to a pull-out pantry, custom storage drawers for Riviera’s dishware, glassware and flatware, ample storage space, refrigerator/freezer drawers, electric stovetop, Panasonic convection microware (with air fryer and broiler), Franke stainless steel sink and a Fisher Paykel dishwasher. Nearby are 3 more Vitrifrigo refrigerators for plenty of provisions and beverages. The cabinetry is clean and modern in its design. The 360-degree views from the galley are fantastic.

The cockpit offers generous seating under a large Stamoid sunshade. “Pronto” offers a flexible cockpit layout by having either one large dining table at the aft sofa or use the standard dining table at the L-shape settee plus two small cocktail tables for the aft sofa. Cockpit seats and bow sun pads were reupholstered in 2023 ($20,000). Enjoy entertaining with the Kenyon electric barbecue, the two optional refrigerators and swimming from a teak-laid swim platform that raises and lowers at the touch of a button – a feature that comes in particularly handy for launching the 2016 Brig F300 tender with a 20 HP Honda outboard that is neatly garaged out of sight. The owner added custom rollers in the tender garage for launching and retrieving the tender. The optional, stainless steel transom railing adds safety on the swim platform. Underwater lights and LED-illuminated “Pronto” sign add nighttime ambiance. The swim platform can carry a jet ski with its 875 lbs capacity.

The underwater profile of the Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht includes two Zeus drive units with aft-facing counter-rotating propellers with underwater exhausts. The drives are mounted in tunnels that protect the pod drives from underwater debris. 

An advanced joystick control system for slow-speed maneuvering can be operated with one hand and a single turn of the wrist; from sideways tracking to spinning on a pin, to precise speed control. Zeus also features Skyhook, a system that will maintain the vessel on a fixed heading within a tight area — even in strong currents and windy conditions. Fuel consumption is about 0.55 to 0.60 miles/gallon across the range of 18-27 knots - go the speed your crew wants or seas allow.
