VINST is a 42' 22 Square Meter, designed by famed Danish naval architect Knud Reimers and built in Stockholm, Sweden in 1941. She exhibits the Square Meter class' characteristic low freeboard, narrow beam, long graceful ends and heavily raked, high-aspect rig, qualities that make VINST and her counterparts fast, weatherly and easy on the eyes.
Engineless 40-foot day racers (Gamecock, Ruweida, Bijou II, and the Luders 24s) have been doing very well in the New England classics regattas and are a great choice due to the comparatively low cost of entry and upkeep, lively competition and consistently good overall regatta results. VINST would make a great addition to the fleet.
VINST has been well cared for under her current ownership, including a major structural refit at Rockport Marine in 2011, and is offered for sale in turn-key condition. Fun to day sail, competitive on the racecourse and very pretty on the mooring, VINST is a perfect classic day racer.
