This 2002 Regal 2860 Commodore is a well-built express with innovative cockpit seating and a space efficient interior. She's unlike other boats of her type and size in that she rides on a stepped hull, a race-bred design said to improve performance by ventilating the bottom. Like most modern express cruisers, the Commodore incorporates a mid-cabin floor plan with berths for six they say but I would correct that and say 5 adults... The fore and aft sleeping areas, each with a double berth, are separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtains. The aft/mid cabin is notably larger than other boats in its class since this vessel has a beam of 9ft 10in and bow to stern length of 31ft. In a departure from the norm, the refrigerator is under the forward berth, which frees up some storage space beneath the galley counter, and lots of it.
