Key Features

  • Innovative retractable hardtop: Enjoy the sun on a beautiful day, or close the full-beam hardtop for a weatherproof, climate-controlled salon. No more dealing with canvas and snaps.
  • Effortless joystick control: The Volvo IPS system with standard joystick control offers exceptional maneuverability, making docking and navigation simple and stress-free.
  • Spacious and luxurious interior: The two-stateroom, two-head layout provides a comfortable overnight oasis. The forward master stateroom includes a queen-size bed, while the mid-cabin offers flexible twin beds that convert to a double berth.
  • High-end finishes: Guests will appreciate the beautifully crafted cherry cabinetry, Amtico flooring, and plush seating throughout the cabin and cockpit.
  • Entertaining cockpit: The cockpit area features ample seating for up to 14 people, an Ultra-lounge that offers multiple seating configurations, and a wet bar with a refrigerator, ice maker, and electric grill.
  • Full galley: The well-equipped galley includes a two-burner stove, microwave, and refrigerator, perfect for preparing meals and snacks.
  • Robust construction: Built with Regal's "LIFECore" manufacturing system, this boat features a solid laminate, vacuum-infused hull for a lighter, stronger, and more durable ride.
  • Entertainment system: A Bose theater system, flat-screen TVs, and a Fusion stereo ensure high-quality entertainment for everyone on board.
Interior layout
The cabin below deck is designed with a two-stateroom, two-head layout, allowing for excellent privacy and full standing headroom.

1. Salon & Galley:
• Galley: Located on the port side, the galley is a full-service, gourmet-style space. It includes ample storage, high-end countertops (like Corian), a two-burner electric stove, a convection microwave, and a refrigerator/freezer.
• Salon Settee: Opposite the galley, on the starboard side, is a C-shaped or U-shaped lounge/sofa with a table. This seating area often converts into an extra full-sized berth for guests.

2. Master Stateroom (Forward):
• The Master Stateroom is in the bow (forward), which is an unusual and desirable configuration for a boat of this size, giving the owners maximum space and light.
• It features an island queen-sized berth with walk-around room on both sides.
• It has an en-suite head that is often split: a separate shower stall on one side and a separate toilet and vanity on the other, allowing two people to get ready simultaneously.

3. Mid-Cabin Stateroom (Aft):
• This is the guest or second stateroom, separated from the main salon by a pocket door for maximum privacy.
• It offers a versatile sleeping arrangement: either twin single berths or a large queen/king berth by adding a filler cushion.
• It includes a full stand-up dressing area, a closet, and usually features a second en-suite head and vanity.
In summary, the design emphasizes an open-air experience on the main deck with the versatility of a climate-controlled salon, combined with a luxurious and private two-cabin layout below deck.
Exterior description
The Regal 42 Sport Coupe's "upper deck" (often referred to as the cockpit/helm deck) is the main distinguishing feature of the boat's design, focusing on creating a seamless, versatile indoor/outdoor social space.

1. The Helm Deck (Forward Cockpit)
This area functions as the primary day-living and navigation space and is highly flexible:
• Retractable Hardtop (Sunroof): The most defining feature. The full-beam hardtop is a large, electrically controlled glass panel that slides open from the windshield frame. This instantly converts the enclosed salon into an open-air cockpit.
• Aft Enclosure: The transition to the aft cockpit/swim platform is typically managed by either an optional sliding glass door or a canvas enclosure, allowing the helm deck to be fully sealed and climate-controlled (with dedicated A/C and heat).
• Helm Station: Located forward and to starboard. It features a large, comfortable double-wide helm seat that is often electrically powered and adjustable. The dash houses modern electronics, including dual touchscreen displays (Garmin was common) and the Volvo IPS Joystick control.
• Companion Seating: To port, there is usually a companion lounge or L-shaped seating area adjacent to the helm, allowing guests to join the captain while underway.
• Walk-Through Windshield: A central section of the windshield opens, providing easy, direct access to the foredeck without having to navigate the side decks.

2. The Aft Cockpit/Patio
Moving aft from the helm deck, this area is dedicated to socializing and relaxation:
• Aft Seating: Features generous seating, typically an L-shaped settee on the port side with a teak dining table.
• Wet Bar/Refreshment Center: Located on the starboard side, this area usually includes a countertop, sink, refrigerator, ice maker, and an electric grill for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
• Sunpad & Transom: Aft of the seating is Regal's signature "Ultra-lounge" or convertible sunpad, which offers multi-position backrests, allowing guests to lounge facing forward, aft, or lying flat.
• Swim Platform: The large extended swim platform is accessed via a transom gate and often features a hot/cold shower and ample storage for fenders and lines.

3. The Foredeck (Bow)
The bow area is a dedicated lounging space:
• Foredeck Sunpad: Features a large sunpad with adjustable backrests, allowing it to function as a flat sun lounge or a multi-position chaise lounge.
• Safety & Access: It is safely accessed via the wide side decks or the walk-through windshield. High stainless-steel railings provide security.
• Anchor Gear: The bow typically houses the anchor windlass, which is often concealed under a deck hatch, keeping the lines and anchor roller neat and clean.
